International employee date checker

Turn dates you have verified into a clear review list and suggested reminders. Use this alongside the international recruitment guide and your secure HR records.

A reminder tool, not an eligibility decision. It does not check visas, documents, DBS records or driving entitlements. It does not send reminders or upload data. Blank fields remain unverified. An overdue date prompts a review; it does not establish that a person cannot work.

1. Enter the dates you have checked

Use an internal reference. Do not enter passport, visa or DBS numbers.
Calculations use this calendar date.
Use verified immigration information. Passport expiry and share-code validity are different dates.
Confirm whether a repeat check is required and the appropriate deadline. EUSS pre-settled status does not by itself require repeat checks under the current guidance.
This is not automatically the end of permission to work.
A DBS certificate has no official expiry. Use your justified review schedule; this tool does not invent a renewal interval.
First use the DVLA checker for the actual licence and circumstances. An exchange window may be longer than permission to drive.
Only relevant if driving is part of the role. Confirm the actual policy and work use.

3. Complete the actual checks

Assign an owner, record the evidence and complete the required check using the official service. Enter reminders in your own secure calendar or HR system. For an outstanding application or uncertain status, follow Home Office guidance and use the Employer Checking Service where required; do not make an automatic employment decision from this table.

Review the guidance before using the result. Prepared on 18 September 2026. The final Home Office guidance is effective from 1 October 2026; check its broader scope and the actual contractual arrangement before making an employment decision.
